What is the 192.168.1.1 Default Gateway?
192.168.1.1 is the default IP address that the majority of home routers use as a gateway.
All computer and mobile device on your private network send traffic to the 192.168.1.1 IP address by default.
When you have logged in to router setup page, you can manage Router Security Options, proxy, LAN, WAN, WLAN settings, ADSL, MAC, WPS block, IP QoS, DNS, DSL, netword password and more.
Log in to your router via the 192.168.1.1 default gateway:
Visit http://192.168.1.1 or by write 192.168.1.1 in your browser’s address bar.
On the next router login screen, enter your router username and password.
If you’re getting an time-out error, or another error, then you have probably entered the wrong IP address in the browser adress bar.
